22nd May 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 30-40 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 11ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: A quick session completely maxed out (well, overpowered really!), with my 5m sail and little wave board. Plenty of surf and although I was overpowered I was just about managing to hang on for some pretty exhilarating rides with very little control. A couple of nice wipeouts too and then the bottom of my sail decided to self-destruct which called for a bit of swim back to the beach and an early end to the session. Would have been better off with a 4m sail really. I new the sail was on its way out and the bit that went was an old war-wound that had already been repaired once... Looks as though it is time to do some shopping! |
